Visual Novel Update 11/14/21

Still in the swamp. Progressing multiple, very different storylines at once can be a pain, but at least it keeps things interesting. Honestly, the one I'm most excited for is Wesvella (pictured above)'s future developments. Should be really fun to do. There's also a side character down the line I'm looking forward to introducing because I think she's really cute. The more I've thought about it, the more I'm convinced that the game will just be best with little to no... well, 'gameplay'. No RPG elements, combat system, minigames, puzzles, resource management, etc. Honestly I don't see the point. Adding all that stuff can be great to pad out game time, but I've played to many Eroge that you have to play for hours on end before getting to the good stuff. So, I'm just not gonna have any of it. I could wedge in a clunky combat system or have some day-night system and make people cultivate affection like it's a resource, but that's just...

I made this this morning, pretty much from complete scratch because I was just WAY too into the idea. Obviously it's fairly short, speaking relatively, at only like 51 pages. It doesn't have much lead in (they start fucking at page 10 or so) and... I dunno. It's pretty simple. But not every comic can be a hundred fifty pages because I don't have time for that. I already have a backlog of, like, at least a dozen women to MAKE and another dozen or so I want to do scenes with and I REALLY don't have a lot of free time. So... here . Anyway, making Sam Manson was interesting. I made a version of her earlier that I put a lot more work into but when I put her in the studio scene she just looked like a fucking alien...
