Mina and the Mutant

So here's a fun one. Mina's probably in my Top 3 MHA Waifus, so I couldn't resist doing her. Also her design's distinctive enough to where you could probably identify her based on three colors or so. Jeez, even her eyes are really distinct. So yeah, this one turned out to be extremely long. I think I was having too much fun working on it.
After doing the Ao Oni I just wanted to do another giant guy, so I came up with Limbs. Everything from his name to his appearance is deliberately meant to be kind of stupid. 'Limbs' sounded like the sort of name a throwaway villain would have in MHA and his design also looks suitably 'background character'-y. I just like his giant, Nazi helmet with the big, stupid belt around his face. You can't really tell in the comic, but the face beneath is always super angry looking. I think his mouth is really small, too. I pretty much made up his personality on the spot, and decided it would revolve around the phrase 'Guhihi' and its variants. It's suitably cheesy, in my opinion. It was fun getting to really mess around and make a complete freak of a character.
His real name is Kenji Ashimoto, which (if my Google Translate-fu is strong) means 'Strong More Limbs' or something like that. He was born a mutant (obviously) with pretty much just green skin. Over time his limbs started growing disproportionately large and his muscles developed at an accelerated rate. However, as his body grew his mind degenerated, his common sense and humanity wasting away until he was just a 'guhihi'ing monster driven by lust and a desire to fight.
As an aside, I was originally going to make Mina more afraid, then I designed 'fuck that', and made her act a bit more quippy and brave. It was more fun to write and less repetitive. Plus, Mina's a superhero, so it's not outrageous that in the face of possible death she'd just make jokes. In reality, when she was facing off against Machia she was obviously super scared, but she was way younger at the time and that was Giganto-freaking-machia. This is, of course, an eighteen-year-old Mina Ashido, who's had a few years of villain-busting under her belt.
Oh right. This chick's name is Tanya. She's half-Japanese, half-American and developing a prejudice towards Mutants as we speak. If only Limbs wasn't such an asshole. Basically she got chased into the abandoned subway by him and was about to get a train pulled on her when Mina showed up. She doesn't have a Quirk or anything, she's just a normal girl. I might do a scene with her in the future (possibly one where Limbs finds her again), but I'm not sure. She was an early design that was originally going to get her own stand-alone comic, then I decided to throw her in as the damsel-in-distress here since she looked sort of My Hero Academia-y.
Anyway.
I plan on doing more MHA stuff in the future, and the ultimate goal would be a multi-part comic including multiple different heroines, but that may be too ambitious for my attention span. I'm sure I'll at least get a part one finished before giving up on it. God knows the series has enough waifus to pick from. Say what you will about Horikoshi but the man knows how to design a cute girl.
